Add the Rum, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, and VF to a tin.
Add enough bitters to get what resembles a red oil spill on top of the drink, but not completely cover it
Add ice to your tin and skae until the tin is too cold to handle
Strain into a Nick and Nora glass, reserving the extra in a rocks glass without ice or with a whiskey stone
Notes
The Scarlet Ibis can be hard to find in the best scenarios due to a recent increase in demand. You can substitute it with a funkier Jamaican-style rum such as Appelton Estate
This is a good drink for introducing friends who are not used to funkier rums, or even think that they are not fans of the spirit, to it.
